A lot depends upon how well the window is maintained (cleaned) and the location of the home and exposure extremes – a coastal home in an exposed position will experience more aggressive environmental effects than a window inland and in built up areas. Summit guarantee the paint finish on our timber products for 10 years and the stain finish for 5.
All of our windows are manufactured to extremely high standards meaning that they will last for many years to come. In addition to this we offer a 10 year guarantee on the window frames and 15-year guarantee on the sealed units.
Yes we do offer an insurance backed guarantee known as the Summit Guarantee Insurance Scheme. Summit is a registered member of FENSA and amongst other building regulations it stipulates that all customers must be offered insurance that covers their replacement window and door installation in the event of the company ceasing to trade. Unfortunately the industry has a history of small and medium sized companies becoming insolvent leaving customers with worthless guarantees and major expense when any rectification work has to be carried out. This new regulation has been put into force to help protect consumers if this happens.
Yes, Summit offer Guarantee Plus, an extended guarantee which will cover you once your original guarantee has run out. If your guarantee has expired and you would like to extend please call us on 01942 703501 or email us at email@example.com
The cost of the 10 year policy is only £42.40 as a 'one-off' payment - that equates to just £4.20 per year. To apply for this scheme you need to complete the application form that is mailed out to you after you've placed an order.

The majority of Home Contents Insurance providers offer their policyholders a discount for having a satisfactory level of security at the home including key operated locks on accessible widows and an approved locking mechanism on their doors. Whilst we cannot comment on every insurance provider’s acceptance criteria we are satisfied that the security measures within our windows and doors exceed the requirements of the vast majority.
Summit guarantees your driveway for 5 years. We use 60mm blocks for added strength, so your driveway will look great and last for years to come. Our first impressions are guaranteed to last. The existing ground is removed to allow for the installation of a firm foundation. The edge restraint is then laid on a concrete foundation around the perimeter - this will ensure that our entire installation is fully restrained, from the sub-base upwards. A Geotextile Membrane is laid, to prevent fine particle migration. The sub base is now installed, in two stages. MOT type 1 material, which is used in road construction, is laid and compacted to a depth of 75mm. This is repeated to create a firm, level surface. A sharp sand ‘laying course’ is screeded to a level depth of 50mm, prepared until it is almost as smooth as a billiard table. Once all the invisible groundwork’s are completed we begin laying the blockpaving. All of the above steps ensure that your Summit driveway is built to last.
